We say goodbye to Summer and look forward to the incoming of Fall.
Many helping hands to sort this year’s fruit.
A harvest note from winemaker, Alban Debeaulieu:
“2018 harvest was truly amazing. The season started off like last year with a beautiful spring and bud-break third week of April. It was a very dry end of spring and summer, as well as hot, but not as much as it has been in the last few years which was nice: no hydric stress despite the dryness, no dehydration of the fruit, and retaining good acidity. Finally we received some light rain throughout September, not damaging to the fruit, but just cooling down the canopy and the ground. In the end, the fruit was pristine, with both ripeness and freshness. The wines in barrels show amazing concentration of aromas, texture, and color, as well as purity of fruit, vibrancy, length and freshness. They show well now, are dense and precise, display great character and aging potential.”
